| 7’ TALL KANGAROO TO WALK CITY WALLS | |
Skippy the Kangaroo and Stuart Priest aim to walk round the City Walls to raise money for the benefit of people with learning disabilities.
Skippy, once a Theatre Royal panto star, became a member of the Priest family almost four years ago when they purchased the 7’ kangaroo in a costume sale. The sponsored walk, planned for Saturday 21 April, will be a long way for Skippy but he is looking forward to the challenge and hoping to raise awareness as well as funds.
The proceeds will be split 50/50 between Prospects and In the Father’s Hand, York. (See the website section 'About Us' for more details.)
The walk is due to begin at 2 pm at Monk Bar, continuing in a clockwise direction. In the event of bad weather it will be rescheduled for Saturday 5 May.
If you would like to sponsor Skippy and Stuart, or want to know more about Prospects or In the Father’s Hand, please contact Heather on 07788 123538 or wugifh@googlemail.com.
